The Winona Amateur Radio Club holds a Winlink net each week.
The purpose of the net is two-fold. First, we want to make sure our equipment is functioning correctly and we are familiar with it’s use. The best way to do this is practice. The second purpose is to provide a community where newcomers to Winlink (or packet, or other digital data modes) can ask questions, find answers, and most importantly, learn by doing.
To participate in the net, simply send a check-in message to W0NE@winlink.org any time on Thursday between 00:00 and 23:59 local time.
Several times a month we use the net as an opportunity to practice using various features of the Winlink system. Exercises will be announced on the groups.io page and you can sign up using the link below.
A simple 1-line check-in message is as follows:
Subject: Winlink Net Check-In
Email Body: Name, Callsign, City, County, State, Country, Mode (and Gateway if applicable)
To stay up-to-date with the net, please sign up for the groups.io list using the sign-up form below. Please include your callsign when registering.
